Battery Energy Drink, a Finnish energy drink brand, and Mika Kallio, the country’s most successful motorcycle Road Racing rider are entering into a comprehensive partnership for the upcoming MotoGP season.
Battery will have a strong presence in the Moto2-series during 2015 alongside one of the top contenders, Mika Kallio. Battery’s role is to provide support and secure Kallio the opportunity to place his undivided concentration on succeeding in the races. The cooperation was announced recently in Valencia following the final race of the season, in which Kallio secured himself the silver in the overall season standings.
MotoGP is already familiar to Battery. Prior to the Kallio cooperation the energy drink has supported MotoGP Moto3-series racers Efrén Vázquez and John McPhee as well as the RTG Team.
Mika Kallio is excited about the upcoming season and joining the Battery family.
- It’s fantastic to be able to go public with the cooperation. Battery has its roots in motorsports, and we share a similar vision of what we thrive towards. We are going to do great things next season, Kallio states.
Battery Energy Drink’s Brand Manager Laura Niskanen sees many natural similarities between the partners.
- We expect a lot from the cooperation and Mika’s upcoming season. Mika Kallio is a respected, top-tier athlete who represents Finland at its best around the world – as does Battery, which is exported from Finland to more than 30 countries. Battery’s brand image includes functionality, quality, speed and strong technology, all of which are also important in MotoGP-sports.
Mika’s name will appear on Battery cans in next year’s spring promotions. The financial support brought by the Sponsor Agreement will help Mika in his training and endeavours to one day drive in the MotoGP-class.
